Retail During the last few years training for sales staff has become essential to the success of retail businesses. Well trained, motivated staff contribute to increased turnover and bigger profits. Retailing has become increasingly competitive and the quality of service provided by staff can make the difference between success or failure of the business. National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) in retailing have now become widely recognised and accepted by the retail industry and Quest offers retailers an easy and cost-effective method of training their staff to meet NVQ standards. NVQs in Retail Retail Skills NVQ Level 2 is aimed at sales advisors, customer service advisors, product experts and young people new to the industry. Areas covered include sales, stock management, product expertise, merchandising, visual merchandising, finance and administration, customer service and organisational effectiveness. Retail NVQ Level 3 is designed specifically for department, section and team leaders, specialist sales advisors and owners/managers. The NVQ 3 offers candidates three pathways: - sales professionals - management - visual merchandising Work experience opportunities
in retail are also needed for young people on Quest's E2E programme.
