More and more people are recognising that effective management is a science as well as an art. Quest offers a number of different approaches to improving management skills.

ILM Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Management
The Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Management is ideal for first line managers with a range of responsibilities including allocating work to team members or colleagues, achieving specific results, managing financial and physical resources and some degree of decision making. 

Learners take three mandatory units focusing on planning and allocating work for the team, managing personal development, setting objectives and supporting team members.  They then choose from a range of optional units to complete the qualification, tailoring their learning to meet their individual and organisational needs.  To gain the whole qualification learners must achieve 25 credits.

EDI Certificate in Management Principles Level 3

The Certificate in Management Principles Level 3 covers the theories and effective techniques appropriate to first line managers and provides the underpinning knowledge and understanding required for the NVQ Certificate in Management.

Advanced/Adult Apprenticeship in Management

Designed for first-line managers and includes the achievement of the Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Management, key skills, the EDI Certificate in Management Principles, and employment rights and responsibilities.

ILM Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Team Leading
The NVQ Level 2 is designed for team leaders who have some personal autonomy and responsibility and who collaborate with others to deliver work.

Learners take three mandatory units focusing on managing personal development, working relationships with colleagues and communicating information and knowledge. They then choose from a range of optional units, tailoring their learning to meet their individual and organisational needs.  To complete the qualification learners have to achieve a minimum of 17 credits.

EDI Certificate in Team Leading Principles Level 2

The Certificate in Team Leading Principles Level 2 covers the theories and effective techniques appropriate to first line managers and provides the underpinning knowledge and understanding required for the NVQ Certificate in Team Leading.

Apprenticeship/Adult Apprenticeship in Team Leading

Designed for team leaders concerned with motivating team members and achieving targets and includes the achievement of an Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Team Leading, the EDI Certificate in Team Leading Principles at Level 2, key skills and employment rights and responsibilities.

All young people working towards an NVQ with Quest are offered the opportunity to attend Quest's commercial IT Training and other Short Courses free of charge.
