Foundation Learning What is Foundation Learning?
Learners work towards the achievement of a number of qualifications at Level 1 or Entry Level and undertake learning in three curriculum areas - vocational, personal and social development and functional skills in English, mathematics and ICT. During their time on Foundation Learning learners have the support of a key worker and receive high quality information, advice and guidance and regular progress reviews. Quest offers a range of vocational routes to young people on Foundation Learning including motor vehicle, hairdressing, administration, ICT, sports and leisure, customer service and retail. Visits to places of interest and other activities are also part of the Foundation Learning programme. Learners are encouraged to plan visits themselves giving them valuable experience of using the telephone and internet and working together as a team. Learners can join Quest's Foundation Learning programme at any time of the year. Work experience
